Kat Day

I grew up on a farm in central Alberta and always loved spending time in the outdoors. I moved to Calgary for university and ended up staying for work. It was after living in Calgary, so close to the mountains, for several years that I planned a date weekend for my hubby and I in Banff and we tried a winter hike. I had so much fun and wondered how I hadn't tried hiking sooner! Fast forward a few years and I'm now a regular hiker in all seasons. I love exploring Kananaskis and Banff, and I also love to take photos of my adventures! Photography and hiking are very complementary hobbies and there aren't many places better to do both than the beautiful Canadian Rockies! I've recently got into running as well and have dabbled in trail running which I plan to do more of this year. I enjoy hitting the trails with friends, family, my pups, and sometimes all by myself. I am always amazed at the therapeutic effect a day in the mountains can have, and there's nothing more satisfying than making it to the top of a mountain and seeing how far your two feet can take you!
