Our Story
Born on the Prairies. Built for the Outdoors.
We're two brothers from a small town in Saskatchewan, Canada.
Like a lot of Canadian kids, we grew up playing hockey, football and baseball. But we were always drawn to the outdoors. Eventually, that pull took us west to Alberta and British Columbia, where skiing, snowboarding, camping and exploring the mountains became a big part of our lives.
In 2017, our love for the outdoors led us to start Mountain Life Apparel. The idea was simple: create products inspired by the lifestyle we loved and build a community around getting outside, exploring and enjoying the ride.
But there was one idea that had been hanging around long before Yetirobe existed.
Our dad was always telling us we needed to create something with a Sasquatch. We loved the idea—but “Sasquatch Jacket” just didn't have quite the ring to it.
So we kept thinking, until eventually a name came along that just sounded right.
And just like that, a new word was created.
YETIROBE
We liked the name so much that we put our own definition inside every jacket—a little nod to the creature that inspired it and the story behind the name.
What started as one product quickly became the product we couldn't stop improving.
We've worn it, tested it, travelled with it and continued refining it year after year—changing the fit, materials and little details based on how we actually use it.
From Canada to Europe
Adventure has always been at the centre of our story, and eventually it took us in different directions too.
Bo remained in Western Canada, while Brock's travels eventually took him across the Atlantic to the Netherlands, where he now lives with his wife.
Today, Yetirobe gets put to the test on both sides of the ocean—from cold Canadian winters and mountain trips to rainy European days, campsites, sidelines and everyday life.
Different places. Same idea:
Stay outside longer.
Still Family-Run
Even as Yetirobe has grown, we're proud that it remains a family-run business.
When you order a Yetirobe, there are real people behind it—and very often, they're members of our own family.
From answering customer emails and messages to packing orders and getting jackets out the door, much of what happens behind the scenes is still done by us and our family.
We're not a huge outdoor corporation, and we don't want to pretend to be one. We're a family that genuinely wears the product we sell, believes in it and cares about the people who choose to wear it.
Made for Everyday Adventure
Yetirobe was designed to be the jacket you reach for every day.
For the morning dog walk. The school run. Cold mornings at the rink. Standing on the sidelines. Camping weekends. Mountain adventures. Travelling. Walking into town. Or simply heading outside when the weather isn't cooperating.
It's oversized, warm, weather-ready and ridiculously comfortable—without feeling like something you only wear for one specific activity.
The jacket you'll always reach for.
Today, Yetirobe has become the heart of what we do.
We're still wearing it. Still testing it. Still travelling with it. And still listening to our customers and finding ways to make it better with every generation.
From two brothers on the Saskatchewan prairies to adventures on both sides of the Atlantic, it's been quite the ride.
And we're just getting started.
Crazy Big. Crazy Warm. Crazy Cozy.
